We held our February club meeting in the club house at the Nicholes Field.
President Bill Barlow started the meeting precisely on time at 10:20 AM. We said the Pledge of Allegiance.
We had a visitor from Camarillo, California, Efi Gluzer.
Very sad news, Jerry Blaskey passed away on February 16, 2026. Jerry was a true American hero. He was a longtime naval aviator and flew the F-4 Phantom during the Vietnam War. Jerry lived well into his 90s. He just loved to fly. He often flew his yellow Sky Boy at the field. We will miss Jerry. Glenn Frehafer said a prayer for Jerry.
Oscar Gonzales was working on the roof on his house and fell off the ladder and on to his left side. He has a fractured leg. He says he is still ambulatory so we should see him soon. Best wishes and a speeding recovery to Oscar.
Ralph Levy wants to sell his North Wing trike with a 503 Rotax engine. It has not flown in about five years. It is not licensed.
Kirt Pfaff is selling two planes and two hangers #8 and # 33. He is currently living in Texas. Kirt bought a house with access to a runway.
Jody Morgan and Morty showed off their six-prop man caring drone. They are making a few more modifications and the drone should come in under Part 103.
They have a website at www.skywriter1.com.
Efi Gluzer was our guest speaker. He’s been flying and building part 103 ultralights for the past 20 years at the Camarillo Airport. He currently owns the Bloop built by Mike Sandlin. They recently repaved their 1,500 foot long 16-foot-wide runway for about $120,000. They are just 5 miles from Pismo Beach. Their flight pattern is 300 feet around the general aviation airport. They have about 12 ultralights and a flight instructor at the airport.
There was no treasurer or membership report.
Morty won $40 in the raffle with $40 going to the club.
16 people attended our club meeting. The meeting ended at an unspecified but appropriate time.
