We held our January club meeting in the club house at the Nicholes Field. President Bill Barlow started the meeting precisely on time at 10:30 AM.

We have new members from the Ugly Raptors Club, Gia Vuong, a para motor pilot who has flown rotorcraft before. And Clint Morgan also para motor pilot.

Ivan Rubio is also a new member. He likes to skydive, is a para motor pilot and was educated as an architect.

Treasurer Mark Novak stated the club has $64K.

Membership: Mike Sandlin said we have a few new members for the current year 2026. Correction Please Note: The yearly dues are Not going up $10 in the new year.

The dues will remain at $40. The Board of Directors recommended a $10 increase in club dues but failed to put the measure before the club for a vote.

Mathieu Bertholino order a new propeller for his plane and is making steady progress.

Al Sayder has been working on his transponder.

Larry has been working on the electronics for his plane.

Glenn Frehafer ran his engine to break it in.

Oscar Gonzales volunteered at a drone demonstration in Delmar. There were 200 drones that flew at once. The company that puts on these shows will come to the

February meeting and show a video. The company has flown as many as 600 drones at once.

Bill Barlow talked about recruiting new members, having breakfast at our meetings and replacing the T hangers. He encouraged everyone to keep flying. The February meeting will include a clean-up day at the air field.

Jody Morgan showed a video of his and Morty’s man carrying drone called the Sky Rider. Jody’s drone comes in just a few pounds over ultralight requirements.

Jody says with a new seat he will easily make the weight limits for an ultralight status. The drone flew for several minutes, was very steady and carried a live volunteer.

Bruce Rupert won $23 in the raffle with $23 going to the club.

18 people attended our club meeting and holiday catered/potluck.
