We held our May club meeting in the club house at the John Nichol’s Field.

President Bill Barlow started the meeting precisely on time at 10:25 AM. We said the Pledge of Allegiance.

We have a new member, Mario Fernandez. Mario flies a Cessna 210.


Mathiew Bertholino’ airplane engine is now working.

Larry Schultz has completed the firewall on his Kit Fox project build.

Al Sader is changing the wiring harness on his plane.


Mark Novak says we have $73,000 in the bank. Some members are still not paying their membership dues and hanger fees. Mark said he hired Jody Morgan for collections duty. To pay online you can use Zelle using sduaorg@gmail.com, company name SDUA.

Mike Sandlin said we have 27 members.

The powered paraglider’s boys were flying this morning.

Two aircraft are for sale. A north wing trike, see Bill Barlow for details. Kirk Pfaff’s hanger and hurricane and generator are for sale as a package deal, $20,000 or separately.

Bill Barlow is trying to get the homeland security temporary flight restriction for drones lifted from Nichol’s airfield. Bill Barlow also discussed the future of the club’s status regarding Skydive. Bill also said that the tractor mower would be ready soon possibly next week so we can mow the airfield.

Jody Morgan held the raffle and Bill Barlow won an absolutely huge amount of money with half going to the club.

14 members attended the meeting.

The secretary was on vacation.
